go-e Charger Gemini 2.0 11 kW – wallbox with eSIM for parking spaces without Wi-Fi

The go-e Charger Gemini 2.0 11 kW is a permanently mounted wallbox with a built-in eSIM: the app, updates and solar surplus charging with the go-e Controller work even in an underground car park or a company car park where Wi-Fi doesn't reach – the go-e Controller itself needs an internet connection for this (LAN/Wi-Fi at the meter cabinet). 5 years of mobile data are included, and two signal wires for the ripple control receiver are already on board.

A good fit if …

• there is no Wi-Fi, or only a weak signal, at your parking space,
• you want to permanently mount a compact wallbox,
• you want all the smart features without a network cable.

Probably not, if …

• your Wi-Fi is stable – then the cheaper Gemini 11 kW is all you need,
• you need to bill the electricity to your employer (no MID-certified meter) – then go for the go-e Charger PRO Cable MID.

What it can do

• Smart without Wi-Fi: eSIM with LTE (2G fallback), free for at least 5 years, then 12 euros per year; roaming in the EU, the UK, Switzerland, Norway and Liechtenstein.
• Always up to date: Updates and remote diagnostics over the mobile network – if something goes wrong, we can take a look remotely.
• Grid-friendly: Signal wires for the ripple control receiver, control also via Modbus TCP or the grid operator interface (control input) – in Germany in line with §14a EnWG.
• Charge for less: Charging timer, dynamic tariffs, solar surplus charging with the go-e Controller, API, OCPP or an energy management system.
• Robust and safe: DC fault current protection, IP65, IK08, RFID for up to 10 users.

Good to know

• Built-in eSIM, cannot be replaced; for larger company projects, a custom nano-SIM can be fitted at the factory. MQTT and Modbus TCP only work via Wi-Fi.
• Charging cable: not included. On site: Type A RCD and miniature circuit breaker, electrician for installation and registration.

How much does the mobile data cost?

Nothing for at least 5 years, then 12 euros per year.

Gemini 2.0 or Gemini?

The only difference is the eSIM. If you have stable Wi-Fi, the Gemini is all you need.

Can I replace the SIM?

No, the go-e eSIM is permanently built in. However, you can switch off the LTE connection in the app.

Can I charge with solar surplus without Wi-Fi?

Yes, with the go-e Controller – both devices connect via the cloud. The go-e Controller itself needs an internet connection for this (LAN/Wi-Fi at the meter cabinet).

How long does a charge take?

At 11 kW, a car with a 60 kWh battery is full in about six hours.
