go-e Charger Gemini 2.0 22 kW – wallbox with eSIM and full power

The go-e Charger Gemini 2.0 22 kW is a permanently mounted 22 kW wallbox with a built-in eSIM – for cars that charge at 22 kW AC and for households with two EVs. The app, updates and solar surplus charging with the go-e Controller work even without Wi-Fi at the wallbox – the go-e Controller itself needs an internet connection for this (LAN/Wi-Fi at the meter cabinet); 5 years of mobile data are included.

A good fit if …

• your car can charge at 22 kW AC or your household has several EVs with 22 kW on-board chargers,
• there is no reliable Wi-Fi at your parking space.

Probably not, if …

• your car only supports 11 kW – then the Gemini 2.0 11 kW is cheaper and registration is simpler,
• you need to bill the electricity to your employer (no MID-certified meter) – then go for the go-e Charger PRO Cable MID.

What it can do

• Full power: 6 to 32 A in 1 A steps, single- or three-phase.
• Smart without Wi-Fi: eSIM with LTE (2G fallback), free for at least 5 years, then 12 euros per year.
• Grid-friendly: Signal wires for the ripple control receiver, Modbus TCP or the grid operator interface (control input) – in Germany in line with §14a EnWG.
• Charge for less: Charging timer, dynamic tariffs, solar surplus charging with the go-e Controller, API, OCPP or an energy management system.
• Robust and safe: DC fault current protection, IP65, IK08, RFID for up to 10 users.

Good to know

• 22 kW: Registration with the grid operator and usually their approval required (Germany: approval required above 12 kW). Supply cable 5 × 6 mm². Your electrician takes care of this.
• Built-in eSIM; MQTT and Modbus TCP via Wi-Fi only.
• Charging cable: not included – for 22 kW you need a 32 A Type 2 cable.
• On site: Type A RCD and miniature circuit breaker; installation and registration by an electrician.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need 22 kW?

Only if your car can charge three-phase at 32 A. Most EVs charge at 11 kW – in that case the 11 kW version is the better choice.

How much does the mobile data cost?

Nothing for at least 5 years, then 12 euros per year.

Which charging cable do I need?

A 32 A Type 2 cable so you can use the full 22 kW – such as our Weidmüller Type 2 charging cable.

Can I charge with solar surplus?

Yes, with the go-e Controller, even without Wi-Fi at the wallbox – the go-e Controller itself needs an internet connection for this (LAN/Wi-Fi at the meter cabinet).

How long does a charge take?

At 22 kW, a car with a 60 kWh battery is full in about three hours, provided it can charge at 22 kW AC.
