The KEBA KeContact P30 x-series Green Edition is an Eichrecht-compliant 22 kW wallbox for businesses, residential complexes and anyone who wants to control several charging points together. Manufactured in Linz as the Green Edition – according to KEBA a climate-friendly charging solution from CO₂-optimised production –, with a 6 m Type 2 cable, RFID, LAN, Wi-Fi and LTE and built-in load management for up to 16 charging points.

Right for you if …
- you resell charging power to tenants, co-owners, guests, customers or employees for their private cars,
- you want to operate several charging points on one connection,
- a climate-friendly charging solution from Austria matters to you (Green Edition).
Probably not for you if …
- you only charge privately without billing – then you pay for features you don't need.
What it can do
- Eichrecht-compliant billing: Eichrecht-compliant metering (ME) in accordance with Austrian and German measurement and calibration law (Eichrecht).
- Several charging points without an additional device: one x-series as master controls up to 15 KEBA c-series – the charging points share an adjustable maximum power, keeping the house connection within its limits.
- Fully connected: LAN (RJ45 and LSA+), Wi-Fi and LTE with your own mini SIM; OCPP 1.5 and 1.6 for common OCPP backends.
- Controlled access: RFID reader (MIFARE) for authorisation per user, alternatively via the backend.
- Grid-friendly control: input for the grid operator's ripple control receiver or control box; implementation under §14a EnWG (Germany) is clarified by your electrician with the grid operator.
- Robust: housing IP54 and IK10, DC residual current detection (6 mA) built in – an RCD type A in the distribution board is sufficient.
- Green Edition: according to KEBA, the P30 Green Edition is a climate-friendly charging solution: since April 2022 KEBA has only manufactured CO₂-optimised wallboxes; for unavoidable emissions KEBA invests in selected, certified climate protection projects.
Good to know
- PV surplus with KEBA accessories: with the KEBA KeContact E10 (energy meter at the grid connection point) the P30 becomes a fully fledged PV wallbox – without any separate energy management. The wallbox continuously adjusts its charging power to the solar surplus. With the KEBA KeContact S10 it additionally switches automatically between three-phase and single-phase charging, so solar power ends up in the car even when there is little sun.
- Alternatively: an external energy management system such as evcc that controls the wallbox via Modbus TCP or UDP.
- Heat: at 22 kW it operates from −25 to +40 °C, at 16 A up to +50 °C; in warm conditions it automatically reduces power. Avoid direct sunlight.
- Billing: for this you need a backend – we offer Smartfuelpass by Ultima Payments or Vaylens.
- Appearance: depending on the batch, the housing cover may carry a different print, e.g. kW-Solutions instead of KEBA. Technology and Eichrecht compliance are identical.
- 22 kW: registration with the grid operator and usually its approval required (Germany: approval required above 12 kW). On site: RCD type A and miniature circuit breaker.
Frequently asked questions
What does ME mean?
Mess- und Eichrecht (measurement and calibration law): the metering is approved for reselling charging power to others – in Austria as well as in Germany. MID is sufficient for documenting your own costs (e.g. company car cost reimbursement); for tenants, co-owners, guests, customers or employees with private cars, Eichrecht is required.
How many wallboxes can I connect?
One P30 x-series controls up to 15 KEBA P30 c-series, i.e. 16 charging points on one connection.
Can I charge with PV surplus?
Yes. The easiest way is with the KEBA KeContact E10 as an energy meter – then no additional energy management is needed; with the KEBA KeContact S10 you also get automatic switching between single- and three-phase charging. Alternatively via an energy management system such as evcc, which controls the wallbox via Modbus TCP or UDP.
Do I need a SIM card?
Only if there is no LAN or Wi-Fi at the charging point – then a mini SIM from your provider.
How long does a charge take?
At 22 kW a car with a 60 kWh battery is full in around three hours, provided it can charge at 22 kW AC; at 11 kW in around six.
