Compleo SOLO smart socket – 11 kW wallbox with Type 2 socket, MID-certified meter and built-in RCD

The Compleo SOLO smart socket is an 11 kW wallbox with a Type 2 socket: you plug in your own charging cable and can swap it or take it with you at any time. A Type A RCD with 6 mA DC fault current detection and surge protection are already built in – no Type B RCD needed in the distribution board. An MID-certified meter records every kilowatt hour – handy for a company car and for parking spaces where different cars charge.

What it can do

• Socket for any Type 2 cable: Unplug the cable, stow it in the boot or replace it if it's damaged – no electrician needed.
• Protection built in: A Type A RCD with 6 mA DC fault current detection and surge protection sit inside the housing – no Type B RCD needed in the distribution board; if the RCD trips, you switch it back on yourself.
• MID-certified meter and RFID: kWh-accurate recording of every charging session, assigned via the RFID card.
• Open to your system: Connection via LAN or the built-in 4G modem (no Wi-Fi); OCPP 1.6 for charging backends, Modbus TCP for energy management systems and solar surplus charging, setup in the browser via DUCTO.
• Grid-friendly control: Inputs for the grid operator's ripple control receiver or control box; your electrician agrees the implementation under §14a EnWG (in Germany) with the grid operator.

Good to know

• A Type 2 charging cable is not included. Our Weidmüller Type 2 charging cable, 5 m, 22 kW, is a good match.
• The MID-certified meter sits under the cover, without a viewing window; you can see your charging sessions in DUCTO or in the backend.
• Installation and registration with the grid operator are handled by an electrician.

Frequently asked questions

Which charging cable do I need?

A Type 2 cable rated at least 16 A, three-phase. Our Weidmüller Type 2 charging cable with 5 m and 32 A fits and will also cover a more powerful wallbox later on.

Can I use it to bill my company car charging?

Yes. The MID-certified meter records the kilowatt hours, and the RFID card assigns them to your vehicle. Tax (Austria): According to the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF), reimbursement for charging a company car is tax-free if the amount charged is verifiably assigned to the vehicle – the MID-certified meter and RFID provide this proof. Socket or fixed cable – which is better?

With a fixed cable you can start charging faster; with a socket you're more flexible and the cable is easier to replace. Technically, both SOLO models are identical.

Can I charge with solar surplus?

Yes, via an energy management system using Modbus TCP, such as Loxone.

How long does charging take?

A car with a 60 kWh battery is full in about six hours at 11 kW.
