Right for you if …
- you already have a Type 2 charging cable and are looking for an affordable wallbox for your private parking space,
- only your own car charges and you don't need RFID.
Probably not for you if …
- you want to charge without hunting for a cable – then go for the eBOX smart cable.
- you need an MID-certified meter ex works – then go for the SOLO smart socket.
What it can do
- Your cable, your choice: Type 2 socket for any charging cable – handy if there's already one in the boot.
- Power as needed: adjustable from 3.7 to 22 kW.
- No expensive Type B RCD needed: DC fault current detection built in; a Type A RCD in the distribution board is enough.
- Open, not locked in: OCPP 1.6 and Modbus TCP, monitoring with OCPP apps such as Monta or eCarUp.
- Solar surplus: with a Modbus TCP smart meter such as the Siemens PAC2200 or Shelly Pro 3EM.
- Robust: LED light ring, IP55, IK10, operation from −30 to +50 °C.
Good to know
- Charging cable: not included. Our Weidmüller Type 2 charging cable, 5 m, 22 kW, is a good match.
- Setup: the eConfig app now only works to a limited extent; setup is reliable via LAN and WebConfig in the browser.
- 22 kW: Registration with the grid operator and usually their approval required (Germany: approval required above 12 kW).
- To be provided on site: Type A RCD and miniature circuit breaker.
