The Compleo SOLO smart cable is an 11 kW wallbox for garages, carports and company car parks with the protective equipment already inside the housing: a Type A RCD with 6 mA DC fault current detection and surge protection are built in – no Type B RCD needed in the distribution board. The permanently attached 6.5 m coiled cable never lies on the ground, and the MID-certified meter records every kilowatt hour – ideal if you charge a company car at home.
At a glance
| Charging power | up to 11 kW (16 A, 3-phase) |
|---|---|
| Connection to the car | Type 2 coiled cable, 6.5 m, permanently attached |
| Meter | MID-certified meter built in |
| Protection | Type A RCD with 6 mA DC fault current detection and surge protection built in – no Type B RCD needed in the distribution board |
| Connectivity | LAN and 4G modem built in (no Wi-Fi) |
| Authorisation | RFID card or backend (OCPP) |
Right for you if …
- you're looking for a permanently installed wallbox for your home or business,
- you want to settle the charging costs for a company car with your employer, accurate to the kWh,
- you want a cable that always hangs on the wallbox and never lies on the ground.
Probably not for you if …
- you want to resell charging power to others (tenants, co-owners, guests, customers) – for that you need an Eichrecht-compliant wallbox such as the eBOX professional EKA,
- your car can charge at 22 kW and you want to use that power.
What it can do
- Protection built in: A Type A RCD with 6 mA DC fault current detection and surge protection sit inside the housing – no Type B RCD needed in the distribution board. That saves space in the distribution board and keeps the installation simple.
- Reset it yourself: If the residual current protection trips, you slide the cover open and switch it back on – no service appointment needed.
- 6.5 m coiled cable: reaches whether you park forwards or in reverse, doesn't hang on the ground and is quickly stowed after charging.
- MID-certified meter and RFID: Every charging session is recorded accurately to the kWh and assigned to a person via the RFID card – the basis for settling costs with your employer.
- Open to your system: Connection via LAN or the built-in 4G modem (no Wi-Fi); OCPP 1.6 for charging backends, Modbus TCP for energy management systems and solar surplus charging, configuration in the browser via the DUCTO interface.
- Grid-friendly control: Inputs for the grid operator's ripple control receiver or control box; your electrician agrees the implementation under §14a EnWG (in Germany) with the grid operator.
Good to know
- The MID-certified meter sits under the cover; there is no viewing window. You can see your charging sessions in DUCTO or in your backend.
- Charging with solar power works via an external energy management system using Modbus TCP, for example Loxone.
- You need an electrician for the installation; they also register the wallbox with the grid operator.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an electrician for the SOLO smart?
Yes. The wallbox is permanently connected and must be registered with the grid operator. If you like, we can put you in touch with an electrician from our partner network.
Can I use it to settle company car charging with my employer?
Yes. The MID-certified meter records the kilowatt hours, and the RFID card assigns them to your vehicle. Tax (Austria): According to the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF), reimbursement for charging a company car is tax-free if the amount charged is verifiably assigned to the vehicle – the MID-certified meter and RFID provide this proof. For guidance only, not tax advice.
What happens if the RCD trips?
You open the cover and switch the RCD back on. If it trips repeatedly, our support team will help you find the fault.
Can I charge with solar surplus?
Yes, via an energy management system that controls the SOLO via Modbus TCP, such as Loxone. We're happy to advise you on the right combination.
How long does charging take?
A car with a 60 kWh battery is full in about six hours at 11 kW – easily overnight.
