With the federal “E-Ladeinfrastruktur für Private 2025 – eRide” subsidy, the Austrian government supports the purchase and installation of smart charging stations. You can receive funding for up to 50% of your investment costs.
🔌 What is subsidised?
The programme supports the purchase of a connected wallbox or a smart charging cable, provided it uses electricity exclusively from renewable energy sources.

👤 Who can apply for the subsidy?
The subsidy is intended for private individuals resident in Austria – ideal for homeowners or tenants who want to charge an electric car at home.

Register online at umweltfoerderung.at
Install the charging infrastructure within 36 weeks of registration
Submit the application with the invoice (no more than 9 months old)
Registration is possible until 31 March 2026 – subject to available budget.

A new, connected wallbox or smart charging cable (OCPP or Modbus TCP), such as the eBox or SOLO
Use of 100% green electricity (e.g. electricity from your own PV system or a green electricity tariff)
Proof of purchase & installation
The system must remain in operation for at least 4 years
Additional evidence may be required for apartment buildings, for example regarding shared use of the system.
