Complete set: eBOX professional cable with eCLICK MID module – the eSMARTMETER MID meter is already clipped in; your electrician takes care of the wiring during installation.

The Compleo eBOX professional cable MID is a 22 kW wallbox with a permanently attached 6.5 m Type 2 cable and an eCLICK MID module in which the eSMARTMETER MID meter is already clipped in – it is wired by your electrician during installation. It records every kilowatt hour you need to document for your company car or your company fleet – with the same professional technology as the Eichrecht-compliant models: Plug & Charge to ISO 15118-2 (from firmware 3.x), LAN, Wi-Fi and mobile network with your own SIM.

At a glance

Charging power up to 22 kW (32 A, 1–3 phases)
Connection to the car Type 2 cable, 6.5 m, permanently attached
Meter eSMARTMETER MID meter clipped into the eCLICK module (wired during installation), not Eichrecht-compliant
Connectivity LAN, Wi-Fi, mobile network with your own mini SIM (anySIM)
Charging communication ISO 15118-2, Plug & Charge from firmware 3.x (with a compatible backend)
Authorisation RFID, Plug & Charge (from firmware 3.x), backend (OCPP 1.6)

Right for you if …

  • you charge a company car at home and bill the kilowatt hours to your employer,
  • you charge company vehicles at your own site and need the consumption per vehicle,
  • you want professional connectivity.

Probably not for you if …

  • you resell charging power to others – tenants, co-owners, guests, customers or employees for their private cars – in which case you need the eBOX professional cable EKA,
  • in Austria a service provider handles the reimbursement and bills your employer – in which case you need the eBOX professional cable EKA,
  • your car only charges at 11 kW and you don't need mobile network/Plug & Charge – in which case the SOLO smart cable with factory-fitted MID and built-in RCD is sufficient.

What it can do

  • MID meter included: the eSMARTMETER is already clipped into the eCLICK module; your electrician wires it during installation. It records consumption accurate to the kWh – the basis for cost reimbursement by your employer.
  • Every charge assigned: RFID card or backend assign each charging session to a vehicle or a person.
  • Free choice of SIM and backend: mini SIM slot, LAN, Wi-Fi, OCPP 1.6 – fits your employer's fleet solutions.
  • Plug in and charge: 6.5 m cable permanently attached to the station.
  • Multiple stations, PV surplus: load balancing between eBOXes without additional hardware, dynamically and with solar power via a Modbus TCP smart meter (e.g. Siemens PAC2200, Shelly Pro 3EM).
  • Robust: IP55, IK10, −30 to +50 °C, DC residual current detection built in.

Good to know

  • MID or Eichrecht: MID is sufficient if you document your own costs (company car cost reimbursement, your own company fleet). As soon as you resell charging power to others – tenants, co-owners, guests, customers or employees for their private cars – you need an Eichrecht-compliant wallbox (EKA/ME).
  • Tax (Austria): according to the BMF, reimbursement of the costs of charging a company car is tax-free if the energy charged is verifiably assigned to the vehicle – the MID meter and RFID provide this proof. For guidance only, not tax advice.
  • On site: RCD type A and miniature circuit breaker; 22 kW usually requires the grid operator's approval.
  • Setup: reliably via LAN and the WebConfig browser interface; the eConfig app now only works to a limited extent.

Frequently asked questions

Is MID sufficient for billing my employer?

As a rule yes, an Eichrecht-compliant meter is not required for this. Some employers or fleet providers nevertheless require Eichrecht – it's best to ask beforehand.

Where is the MID meter located?

The eSMARTMETER is already clipped into the eBOX's eCLICK MID module; your electrician takes care of the wiring during installation, and the cable set is included.

Do I need a SIM card?

Only if there is no LAN or Wi-Fi at the parking space.

Can I charge with PV surplus?

Yes, with a Modbus TCP smart meter or an energy management system.

How long does a charge take?

At 11 kW around six hours for 60 kWh, at 22 kW around three – provided the car can charge at 22 kW AC.
